Héloïse Koempgen-Bramy

The French soprano Héloïse Koempgen-Bramy began studying music at the age of 5 with lessons in cello, piano and musical theatre. At the Sorbonne in Paris, she earned a master's degree in philosophy and graduated with a degree in lyric art from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris.

 

She has worked with established names such as Barbara Frittoli, Ruggiero Raimondi, Inva Mula, Javier Camarena, Irène Kudela, Jeanine Reiss and was also advised by Michel Plasson, José Van Dam, Sophie Koch...She travelled to Salzburg where she worked with Tom Krause and sang under the direction of Jean-Bernard Pommier, Federico Santi, Dante Mazzola, Fabio Maestri, Karel Deseure, Waut Koeken, Mireille Laroche...

 

She participated in various competitions and was unanimously named a winner in the Béziers Singing Competition, second at the Ad honorem Mozart festival in Prague, the Les Amis du Grand Théâtre competition in Bordeaux and the Giulio Neri Competition, Italy. She was also a finalist at the Maria Kraja International Competition in Albania and won the first prize at the Leopold Bellan Competition... In 2017, she participated in the Belvedere Competition in Moscow ; won The Enesco competition in Paris and the Cziffra competition in chamber music.

Héloïse has given recitals of French songs and lieder at Salle Cortot in Paris and the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. Her singing takes her to such prestigious venues as Covent Garden London, Opéra Bastille in Paris, Massy Opera, Thessaloniki Opera (Greece), Galway (Ireland), Burgos, Logrono, Sevilla, Cadix operas (Spain); Orvieto and Novara Opera (Italy), Pleven, Bulgaria...

 

She has sung Pamina and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte , Clarina in La cambiale di matrimonio, Valencienne in Die lustige Witwe, Dorina in La dirindina (Hasse) and also Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. In 2016, she made her debut in Mimi with Opera Zuid in La Bohème and in 2017 she sang Fiordiligi...

 

Loving the idea of sharing classical music with everyone, she also takes part in bringing opera into the street with the Transe Express Company, creating shows of French songs with texts and videos and even coaching the French repertoire to foreigners...
